Our Faith and Values
May the God of HOPE fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit. ~ Romans 15:13
Our Vision
Our Mission
To provide a loving, Christian learning environment
To empower students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to develop to their full potential
To inspire devotion to Jesus Christ
To equip students to be agents of transformation for Christ in their community
HOPE Christian Academy is located at 400 Hargrave in Calvary Temple Church.
Beyond the core subjects, HOPE offers Bible courses, taught by the homeroom teachers and music, choir, and art, all taught by professional instructors. Through the Shared Service Agreement with Winnipeg School Division, students in grades 6-8 have the opportunity to attend shops classes, learning practical woods, metals, sewing, and cooking skills. Students gather for chapel one morning a week, where God is worshipped through music and a message, often delivered by a guest speaker.

Our History
Small beginnings
Called to the North-End
Many students in the North End of Winnipeg come from very difficult situations and between Grades 6 and 10 they are at the greatest risk of dropping out of school. These students, who often struggle at other schools, thrive with the alternative approach to education offered at the Aberdeen Campus. While teaching the Manitoba curriculum, we also build into each student’s emotional, social, and spiritual education.

Today
Though started by St. Aidan’s Church, the school has been a separate organization, while carrying the name of St. Aidan. As God impressed upon our leadership that it was time for a change, we spent much time in prayer. We chose HOPE Christian Academy because we ultimately have hope in Christ – the foundation for our hope. We are also giving families hope through quality education. And so, our school is all about hope – we have hope in Christ, we have hope for the future in education.
The faithful care and instruction developed in the initial years of the school laid a foundation for the faith and learning that continue in the school to this day. As an independent school, HOPE Christian Academy has the privilege of keeping the Truth of Scripture at the centre of everything we do.
